The most iconic of all our breads. This San Francisco style sourdough is made with our original mother sourdough and is famous for its natural tangy flavor, porous crumb and caramelized crust.

With a light crisp crust and open airy interior; our fresh take on the classic Italian Ciabatta is full of flavor achieved through long and careful fermentation.

 

INGREDIENTS:  Wheat Flour, Water, Sourdough Culture (Wheat Flour, Water, Whole Spelt Flour, Whole Wheat Flour), Whole Wheat Flour, Sea Salt, Yeast, Malted Barley Flour. CONTAINS: Wheat.

BAKING INSTRUCTIONS: 
Pre-heat oven to 400˚F; Remove thawed bread from bag and place on middle oven rack. Bake for 7-10 minutes or until crust is preferred golden brown color. For frozen bread, bake 10-13 minutes. Remove bread from oven and let cool for a few minutes, then enjoy! If not planning to bake bread day of purchase, then freeze and enjoy later.

This is why we at Izzio collaborated with our local farmers and millers to create a custom flour made from wheat we can trace back to the farm. This is how we know our flour is pure, without GMO’s, and without any unnecessary enrichments or additives. Using methods that are thousands of years old, we use our custom flour to nurture each of our mother starters resulting in loaves of bread that have multiple layers of flavor. Our traditional baking and fermentation methods also help break down the gluten enabling the body to absorb more nutrients and promote good gut health.
