Izzio is an Artisan Bakery focuses on making best Sourdough bread you can possibly buy at the grocery store. Established in 1994, Izzio believes that when it comes to bread, less is more. Our San Francisco Sourdough is baked with just a few ingredients - Water, Flour, Starter and Salt. Complex tangy flavor is achieved by natural fermentation, with some batches taking up to 72 hours. We do not take any short cuts when it comes to our Sourdough, giving it space and time to rise naturally, without added sugar, bakers yeast or vinegar.
Our breads are still made with OG (Original Gangster) Mother - Culture that lives at our bakery since 1994, and even though our business grew over the years and you can now find Izzio Sourdough in the grocery stores all over the country, we still make bread that we eat ourselves and feed to our families and kids.
